Extra wide model is for the easy loading of Sit on Top kayaks, Canadian Canoes and other larger boats and items you require to have on your roof bars. Also works with Sea Kayaks if you have a variety of boats.
Fits at the rear of your roof on estate and hatchback cars simply with no tools required. It is only fitted when required and is easy to remove before travelling, two hooks are supplied on for the roof bar with a strap and one for the bumper with a strap.
Most spoiler do take the weight when loading Canadian Canoes and lighter craft, however some Sit on Top Kayaks are heavy and we suggest checking with the manufacturer of your vehicle to check if this is suitable.
To date we have not heard of any problems loading heavier Craft.
The base has 15mm foam which should be kept clean to avoid scratching the paint.
Length 580 mm ( approx ) x 120 mm wide, max height outside 150 mm and 100mm in the centre.
Care of your product: Wash all grit off the foam to avoid damaging or scratching the paint on your vehicle.
