Our Expedition trolley was first introduced in 1990 and gone through stages of evolution now the Mark 6.
Our original Trolleys are still in use to this day having survived arduous portages with fully laden kayaks over the years of service since 1990.
It has gone through several improvements over the years and is still made of the same robust yet light and indestructable material.
The main frame has a keyhole system which the pads fit into, push down and click in, nice and easy. One knurled hand nut holds the two Trolley frames together, nice and easy to assemble and disassemble, no small screws or small nuts to fiddle with.
Slip the axle in and the wheels are held with linch pins. Packs away in top of a hatch of a fully laden kayak.
NEW ACCESSORY now enclosed. Cockpit hook for the trolley strap fits into the rear of the Cockpit with a hook to hold the Trolley strap. This extra will stop the Trolley from sliding back on the Kayak should you catch a large stone or other obstacle. Please see the images.
Please note the following.
For Rockpool Kayaks with the smaller hatches we have modified pads which fit into these hatches. See second image in photo gallery.
Comes as standard with 10″ Foam Filled tyres which do not suffer from punctures or salt corrosion at the valves or punctures.
These wheels ( above ) fit into all oval hatches.
Can be supplied with Pneumatic Tyres which fit into kayaks with 10″ round Hatches.
Can be supplied with 8″ pneumatic tyres which fit into the smaller Rockpool Hatches.
All come with a strap and full instructions.
Pads have 15mm high density foam to protect your kayak.
Hint; To avoid corrosion with pneumatic tyres we recommend smeering Vasiline on the valves.
Tip; Please keep the axle and wheels clean and free of salt, sand and grit after use to keep the trolley in excellent use for years to come by cleaning in fresh water after use.
Please see the page on our extended Trolley warranties.
